John the Beloved Feast day, December 27th, 2025.
In her the Lord completes what He began. Therefore, in her He receives what He gave, and He is crowned in her whom He crowns. For there is nothing that He does or has without His body. Jesus gave His life for His Bride, the Church. In the end times, she will give herself for Him in a way she never has before. The Church’s ultimate self-offering will be her crowning moment of giving herself completely for Christ, and He in turn will crown her. He and His Bride will then be perfectly one in their mutual gift of self.”
This quote perfectly sums up the bride’s “oblation” and “sacrifice of jealousy” ACCEPTED by her Bridegroom, Husband and Priest, to atone for her sins of unfaithfulness, per the Book of Numbers, and she will come out TRIUMPHANT. Always and ONLY through the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
RECAP FROM PART 1:
In part one we delve into “the spirit of Babylon”, its direct link to narcissism/ jewish behavior and it being likened to the “weight” Frodo carried while wearing the ring. We then learned about “the trial, law and sacrifice of jealousy” brought forth by a “blameless husband” whose unfaithful wife “bears her iniquity” by drinking “bitter water” (Numbers 5), which, according to ancient jewish understanding, led to her death if guilty.

I brought all this home with its direct link to Ezechiel 16 and his prophecy of Jerusalem, the “unfaithful wife” and how it is also a direct link with what happens to her in the Book of the Apocalypse (17 and 18) right before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In short, ONLY AFTER THE CHURCH PASSES THROUGH THE FINAL PASSION, predicted in scripture and the catechism, will she rise anew as a bride without “spot or wrinkle” (Ephesians 5:27). Until then, she remains BOTH Jerusalem (beloved) AND Babylon (enemy) existing in ONE BODY.
The Church as a “bipartite” body
Tyconius postulates in the Exposition that “there are two cities in the world, one of God (Jerusalem) and one of the devil (Babylon), one originating from the abyss, the other from heaven.”
Pope Benedict XVI, as formerly mentioned, drew his understanding of the last Book in scripture from Tyconius. Tyconius is sort of viewed as Origen; Origen was later proclaimed a heretic in 553 AD and Tyconius was a Donatist, but their writings in certain areas were still highly regarded by Doctors of the Church. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux said Origen’s break down on the Canticles of Canticles is the best of the best, and Saint Bede supported Tyconius’ break down of the Apocalypse. Tyconius thus described “the body”, the Church, in the Apocalypse as indeed ONE, for the Catholic Church can only be ONE, however, he shows how there are two parts within the Church existing in the same body, at the same time, and they appose each other. In every way.

Why Frodo perfectly represents this is because you can say, in a certain sense, he represents Jerusalem (peace), but the ring represents chaos (Babylon). When I began writing this post, I jotted down my ideas and as usual, put things on pause before publishing. During the homily for the 4th Sunday of Advent, I was zoning out, but then Father said something that made me look up almost automatically as I exited my stupor; I was bored at that point (I’m picky with homilies).
He said in order for true charity to exist (love of God and love of neighbor) we also have to “befriend ourselves”. That struck me so much that I pondered it for this post and it hit me with its connection to Jerusalem and Babylon: “a house divided CANNOT STAND.” Jerusalem indeed represents peace while Babylon represents chaos. The two therefore cannot exist in the same body for very long before one, or the other, will be destroyed. The Catholic Church, Jerusalem, can never be destroyed, so the answer becomes clear. Babylon will fall.

Then I was reminded of how we cannot serve two masters because we will either LOVE the one or hate the other. As long as Jerusalem exists with Babylon, this “self hatred” will continue and thus, “befriending herself” will be nearly impossible. That is why Saint Paul describes Jerusalem on earth as a bond woman (essentially stuck with Babylon while she lives) and in heaven “FREE, which is our mother” because she no longer carries the bondage and iniquity of Babylon. WHILE SHE LIVES. This all keeps going back to the Passion of the Church. ONLY her death will officially separate her from the “spirit of Babylon”. Let’s go over a quick list of what I mean by “two” existing in one body and what Jerusalem and Babylon represent separately:
Babylon: “chaotic, narcissistic and counterfeit”
1. Counterfeit “church”.
2. Vatican II.
3. New Mass.
4. New Mass Calendar.
5. Jews are “God’s chosen people”. In fact, the counterfeit “church” is tied to 1948 “Israel”. It’s all fraud and has been highjacked by the jews. Yes, the jews have stolen the Church’s land and her headquarters in Rome.
6. Narcissism and hatred of God and neighbor.
7. Bergoglio and Prevost, the two worm ridden anti popes as predicted by Our Lady of Lasalette.
8. Fake Sister Lucia.
9. Constant insults toward Our Lady.
10. New Divine Office.

Jerusalem: “disciplined, authentic and charitable”
1. True Church.
2. Council of Trent and Vatican I; more disciplined Code of Canon Law.
3. Traditional Latin Mass.
4. Original Liturgical Calendar.
5. The Catholic Church and her members are God’s chosen people. WE ARE THE TRUE JERUSALEM.
6. Proper love of God and neighbor (ordered ONLY from the Latin Mass).
7. May include Interregnumists (those who believe Pope Benedict XVI was the Katechon, the one who restrains anti christ, and the last valid pope and we are in a state of interregnum) and Sedevacantists (those who believe that the See has been vacant since 1958). I believe the former.
8. Real Sister Lucia.
9. True love of Our Lady.
10. Pre 50s Divine Office.
You see the pattern? Are you starting to see how these “two” are not only polar opposites in every way, but this is EXACTLY why a HOUSE this divided cannot, and will not, stand for much longer. Jerusalem CANNOT “befriend” Babylon. When Our Lady of Lasalette warned that Rome would lose the faith and become the seat of the anti christ, this perfectly sums up “two existing in one body”.
Meaning, the anti christ has been hidden and FORMED in the counterfeit “church” now occupying Rome. But the time will come when he will be exposed and defeated. Jesus, the Bridegroom defeats the anti christ, and Jerusalem (true Church) defeats Babylon (fake “church”), ALL WITH THE HELP OF MARY.

The Passion of the Church: final separation. CLEAVE. Cleave has a two fold meaning.
So, according to Ezechiel and Tyconius, what else must happen to the bride in order to fulfill this “sacrifice of jealousy” for her “blameless Husband” per the Book of Numbers? Let’s go back to Ezechiel 16 briefly before coming back to Tyconius and Apocalypse 17 and 18. I think one of the most interesting, and telling, parts about Ezechiel’s prophecy is how the bride is originally described as beautiful because Christ made her so.
But then somewhere along the way she got enamored with her own beauty (cough cough narcissism) and the chapter goes on to describe that rather than be humble and use this beauty for good and for her King, she begins showing it off to many passerbyers for her own glory and thus, makes herself a prostitute. She here BECOMES Babylon.

This is why by the time we get to the Apocalypse when we see the great whore of Babylon described… with all her jewels and ornaments, it’s actually quite cryptic because in Ezechiel we read how it was none other than Our Lord who decked His bride, Jerusalem, in these jewels and ornaments, fine garments and in violet shoes. He clothed her in His beauty, but she did not use it for Him.
What’s eery is in the Book of the Apocalypse, she is wearing this attire still, so we know, once again, that Jerusalem and Babylon are one and the same. What then does Our Lord tell Ezechiel will happen to His bride, confirmed by the God Man Himself in the Gospels? This message is Our Lord DIRECTLY to His bride as He actually addresses her in the first person and if you read the Douay Rhiems footnotes, it says Our Lord tells Ezechiel to:
“Make known to Jerusalem”: That is, by letters, for the prophet was then in Babylon [that part seems symbolic].

The prophecy of her punishment isn’t pretty:
“And I will deliver thee into their hands, and they shall destroy thy brothel house [prostitute house], and throw down thy stews [bath houses]: and they shall strip thee of thy garments, and shall take away the vessels of thy beauty: and leave thee naked, and full of disgrace. And they shall bring upon thee a multitude, and they shall stone thee with stones, and shall slay thee with their swords. And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and shall execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and thou shalt cease from fornication, and shalt give no hire any more. And my indignation shall rest in thee: and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will cease and be angry no more.”
What struck me here is she is “full of DISgrace” while Mary is “full of grace. As well as: And My jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will cease and be angry no more. CATCH ALL THAT? “The sacrifice of jealousy” is thus complete as it “departs” from the Bridegroom. He compares her “iniquity” to that of Sodom. Her “destiny” thus becomes absolutely clear and absolutely certain. Leaving no room for doubt. The bride must die. Because only in death can she rise, again, WITHOUT BABYLON, REBORN in PURE love of her Bridegroom. Notice how Rome has become a “brothel house”? Current Rome thus becomes typified with Babylon.

Rome has become a “whore house”. No wonder anti christ has found his “home” there. The true bride must therefore tell her children to “depart from her” so as to “not partake in her sin” (Apocalypse 18:4). Meaning, no more New Mass, no more using the New Calendar, no more using the New Divine Office, no pledging allegiance to a counterfeit “church” with its two worm ridden “popes”. As the REAL Lucia warned before her death, WE MUST NOW CHOOSE SIDES.
Tyconius understood that the great “falling away” of the end times will not be caused by unfaithful people leaving the Bride of Christ, but rather by the Bride of Christ pulling away from those within her who are unfaithful (BABYLON). That part always struck me the most. The bride is setting boundaries and she is kicking up the dust. Our Lord tells her to do this in Matins for Christmas, check it out:
Shake thyself from the dust, arise, sit up, O Jerusalem.
As well as:
[The] unclean shall no more pass through thee [Babylon].
And lastly:
Speak ye to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her: for her evil is come to an end, her iniquity is forgiven: she hath received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.

“The Latin word discessio means a separation or division, meaning a great cleavage or cutting in two. It also has the sense of withdrawal.” CLEAVE means two things: to bind together… or DIVIDE. Like “passion” meaning cleave, with the two fold meaning, “to bind” AND “separate”, the bride must separate herself as much as possible here below, even before this passion, and BIND herself to the God Man. She must also bind herself entirely to Mary, since she is Mary’s dowry.
In the prophecy of Ezechiel, Our Lord’s own words in the New Testament (Luke 19) and the book of the Apocalypse, there’s another two fold meaning: the bride is both punished… dies… then rises anew, made ready for the final wedding. She is already promised forgiveness as His bride, per the Old Testament, but she is equally promised punishment. Our Lord perfectly displays this when He both weeps AND talks about her future peace, and then describes her death in great detail:

And when He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it, saying: If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy day, the things that are to thy peace; but now they are hidden from thy eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, and thy enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and straiten thee on every side, And beat thee flat to the ground, and thy children who are in thee: and they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation.
Luke 19
“JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM.”
Did not this passage sound like Ezechiel’s? It’s all a confirmation, and a scary one at that. Even John the Apostle while writing down the Apocalypse understood that while it ends in a victorious wedding, the bride would have much to suffer, first. This is why it’s a bittersweet message. BITTER water? It’s likened to a woman giving birth.
The Book of Numbers requires the unfaithful wife to drink bitter water AND unveil.

In part One I spoke about the unfaithful wife in the Book of Numbers foreshadowing the Whore of Babylon drinking the “cup of wrath” which leads to her death. But there is another requirement in the “Law of Jealousy” I saved specifically for this post. She is also required to UNVEIL. Where else does this happen. IN THE BOOK OF THE APOCALYPSE. That is what the very word Apocalypse means: to “unveil”.
Original Meaning: A lifting of the veil, a disclosure, or unveiling of something previously unknown, often by divine means.
or
To make something known or visible that was previously secret or hidden.
“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” The bride is also EXPOSING the “spirit of Babylon” when she unveils, in order for the whole world to see what the problem has always been. Brant Pitri in his book, Jesus the Bridegroom says Our Lord is the only Bridegroom to describe His funeral as a wedding, and it is the same for His bride to be.

Babylon’s Death described in the Apocalypse confirms Ezechiel’s Prophecy. Her Husband shall judge her:
And the ten horns which thou sawest in the beast: these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire. For God hath given into their hearts to do that which pleaseth Him:she shall be burnt with the fire; because God is strong, who shall judge her.
Apocalypse 17
And a mighty angel took up a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: With such violence as this shall Babylon, that great city, be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Apocalypse 18
Again, Our Lord simultaneously proves that Jerusalem and Babylon are the same, when He says,
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not?
Matthew 23:37
Conclusion:
For Tyconius, it is the new Israel who must depart on her new Exodus. The true Church herself will effect the great apostasy as a way of salvation from her enemies. In a real sense, the true Church will force the apostasy into the light, for the body of the devil, present in the false brothers inhabiting the Church, is already, and always has been, apostate. That fact has merely been concealed.
Most of us know that Saint Paul spoke about the thorn in his flesh and how it kept him humble. I think it’s clear, and biblically provable, that the “thorn in the flesh” for the Church is “the spirit of Babylon”, and ironically enough, Babylon is purifying her.
Traditional jewish weddings depict the bridegroom meeting the bride with a wedding party following him.
Our Lord keeps with this tradition as He is destined to return as KING WITH HIS WEDDING PARTY THE SAINTS (Apocalypse 19). The best visual I can give for what this could look like is the scene in Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers, when Gandalf appears at the final moment of battle at Helm’s Deep and appears at the top of the hill with the Rohirrim. Like Gandalf, Our Lord “is never late, nor is He early, He arrives precisely when He means to….”
Ave Maria, Christ is King!

Lyrics to introduction video, “Flare” by Sod Ven:
Cracks in the stone
Call from the deep
Whispering close
Out of reach
Lost in the haze
Body and soul
Love I’m afraid
Of letting go
Send me a sign
Be a flare in the night
I’d give it all if you told me
Lend me your eyes
Through the dead of the quiet
I’d give it all, if it all to be holy
Barren and true
Rune to the grave
Stifle the rue
Open vein
Send me a sign
Be a flare in the night
I’d give it all if you told me
Lend me your eyes
Through the dead of the quiet
I’d give it all, if it all to be holy
Send me a sign
Be a flare in the night
I’d give it all if you told me
Lend me your eyes
Through the dead of the quiet
I’d give it all, if it all to be holy
Send me a sign
Be a flare in the night
I’d give it all if you told me
Lend me your eyes
Through the dead of the quiet
I’d give it all, if it all to be holy
